Ahsen Utku

Parent Workshop &

Research & Evaluation Volunteer

Ahsen Utku graduated from the Fletcher School, Tufts University and Harvard Divinity School, with a focus on conflict resolution and post-conflict reconciliation as well as identity, gender and age in conflict and post-conflict settings. She is also passionate about the inclusion and empowerment of ethnic and religious minorities and vulnerable groups including disabled people.

Prior to her studies in the United States, she wired as a journalist in Istanbul while pursuing her first Masters degree in International Relations at Marmara University. As an amateur photographer and a never-growing child, she is also interested in exploring the traces of culture, social justice and conflict in non-academic fields like photography, children’s books, and music. She joined the ETI team because she believes that ETI has the faith and power to bring the change that many had longed for throughout their lives.

In addition to volunteering with the Parent Workshop and R&E teams, Ahsen also serves as ETI's photographer for special events.
