Feras Mahdi, MD

Dr. Feras Mahdi is a Senior Manager at Medtronic, the world’s largest med tech company, and leads their clinical consulting practice across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and Turkey, specializing in healthcare management, operations, and performance improvement. The practice provides advisory and program implementation services to governments and individual public and private healthcare institutions. Prior to this he also lead the clinical transformation practice at General Electric for East and Africa Growth Markets, driving clinical quality and evidence based-healthcare solutions across the region. He is also the Executive Director of The Medical Clinics, a local healthcare management company and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Public Health at Phoenicia University where he teaches the fundamentals of health promotion programs to senior students.

Dr. Mahdi has an MD from the American University of Beirut and is specialized in Internal Medicine. He also has a Masters in Bioscience Enterprise from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he also co-founded CamStent, an award winning company developing and producing novel technologyusing advanced polymer coatings to enhance the safety and efficacy of medical catheters. He continues to mentor young health-tech entrepreneurs at local and regional events, in addition to serving as a recurrent panelist on regional healthcare business development. Dr Mahdi is a member of the Lebanese Order of Physicians, the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
