Life Skills trainer/Medical team
I, Michael Kassis, am a Nursing student at the American University of Beirut. I have been doing philanthropy for almost 4 years now. I am an active member of civil society tackling various social, political, economic, and medical issues in Lebanon. I am a Sexual Health, LGBT+ Health, and Mental Health advocate since 2015. My main target groups are the marginalized communities in Lebanon.
I volunteered with ETI because I believe that a visually impaired person is as productive as an HIV+ individual. They may seem entirely different; however, both are marginalized in our community and both require the minimal social and civil rights to become the individuals they desire to be in the future. My time with ETI was memorable due to my flexibility in taking any role offered to me in the Life Skills program and the care offered by the ETI family.
