Souraya Machnouk is a partner at Abou Jaoude & Associates Law Firm, the single largest multi-practice law firm in Lebanon, and lends her specialised knowledge and experience to several practice groups including corporate law, private equity, mergers & acquisitions, banking, and telecommunications. Souraya gives strategic advice to investors, entrepreneurs, companies and banks on regulatory compliance, social entrepreneurship, raising capital and complex transactions. She also sits on the Committee for the Reform of the Investment Climate in Lebanon, established by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in Lebanon in collaboration with the World Bank and the IFC. Souraya holds a Masters in French and Lebanese Law from the St. Joseph University, Beirut, with a double major in private and public law, as well as an Advanced Graduate Degree (DEA) in Banking and Financial Markets Law from the St. Joseph University in partnership with the University of Paris II-Assas in Paris. She also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from George Washington University (joint program with Georgetown University) in Washington, DC. Souraya is admitted to the Beirut Bar and is a member of the International Bar Association.
