Hamida holds a BA in Social Work from the Lebanese American University. She has volunteered and worked in the field with local and international NGOs before starting as a Life Skills Trainer at ETI in May 2019, and now conducts weekly household visits around Beirut as part of the "Extensive Life Skills Program" offered by ETI, which empowers children and youth who are blind or visually impaired.

Hamida has received extensive training on orientation and mobility for independent and safe travel, and the best practices on creating an inclusive community. She will serve as a teacher at ETI's Life Skills Program and Camp Rafiqi this coming summer. As a member of the ETI family, Hamida is passionate about spreading the cane culture among the participants and emphasising the significance of traveling independently in the goal of achieving self reliance and empowerment.
