INTEGRATIONS iNTERN
ETI is seeking a talented and driven Program Intern to work closely with ETI’s Integration Programs Director to ensure the smooth running of ETI’s Integrations Program events.
The ETI Integrations Program raises awareness and encourages various sectors (education, private, government, and the general public) to exemplify integration and inclusion in practice and to include more persons with disabilities in daily life so as to break down social stigmas.
Integration Programs are blindfolded, facilitated experiences that allow participants to shed preconceived notions of themselves and others when interacting for the first time, allowing them to be blind to certain labels. This facilitates authentic dialogue and conversations about racism, prejudice, sexism, ageism and ableism, prompting participants to rethink their assumptions about one another, their abilities, and the potential of others.
Position Responsibilities:
Become extremely familiar with the mission of ETI’s Integration Programs
Develop an understanding of the program planning process and operations
Assist with event preparation including preparing materials, seating charts and any needed printing
Assist with set-up, registration, and tear-down at events
Organize and manage program database
Conduct exit interviews and follow-ups with event participants under supervision of Program Director
Manage and analyze program data to maximize participant satisfaction and attendance
Position Requirements:
Passion for social justice and disabilities rights issues
Excellent organizational skills
Comfortable working as part of a team
Experience with data analysis a plus
Prior experience with event coordination
Able to contribute 5-10 hours/week to this role
