Empowerment Through Integration (ETI) is an international non-profit organization focused on advancing inclusive society by transforming the social stigma against disability across the globe. ETI’s strategy takes a three pronged approach of direct service programs, facilitated workshops and training, and global advocacy for the value and principles of inclusion.

ETI’s direct service programs in Lebanon focus on empowering underserved youth through life skills training and community inclusion opportunities. In the United States, Europe, and beyond, ETI is focused on developing and implementing inclusive programing for businesses, nonprofit organizations and communities, which challenge and transform mindsets about the nature of exclusion. These facilitated workshops help individuals identify and break down internal and external barriers surrounding views on ability in order to create positive change, enhance creativity, and improve productivity. ETI’s Founder and CEO, Sara Minkara is a recognized disability advocate, inspiring everyone to embrace the value of inclusion.


Empowerment Through Integration (ETI) has entered a pivotal stage of its growth and seeks to further professionalize its marketing, communications and donor stewardship programs. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for implementing the ETI communications plan and social media strategy that will deepen ETI’s engagement with its stakeholders. This is a part time position of 25 hrs per week with expected growth to full time by January 2020.


Social & Digital Media

  • Implement the metric driven digital strategy to grow ETI’s visibility, including leveraging ETI’s media assets to distribute content that engages our audience and grows support.

  • Manage and work with ETI’s social media interns to create and implement an engaging social media strategy in line with updated trends.

  • Manage website content and maintenance, ensuring programmatic updates, stories, blog posts, and events are posted regularly.

  • Support social media integration with all active fundraising campaigns.

Marketing & Communications Management

  • Pursuing and responding to speaking engagement opportunities for the CEO as identified by the leadership team.

  • As needed, serve as in-house graphic designer, creating supplemental marketing materials, templates, reports, and presentations.

  • Serve as a point of contact for media relations, including managing interview requests, drafting press releases, and completing outreach for event coverage.

  • Provide team wide support with content for fundraising and marketing campaigns and appeals, including managing the quarterly email marketing campaigns.


  • Design and manage a results oriented reporting schedule to demonstrate the effectiveness of and progress towards meeting communications objectives.

  • Manage, update, and improve the organization’s cloud database of electronic communications collateral, interview and image libraries, and collateral templates.

  • Manage audience segmentation and list connectivity on and Mailchimp.

  • Coordinate vendor relationships, including graphic designers and printers to deliver high quality content and materials.

  • Ensure is up-to-date with respect to specific communications and media relationships.


  • Commitment to the vision and mission of the organization.

  • 3-5 years in a professional communications role, preferably with increasing responsibilities.

  • Professional social media experience, current and broad knowledge of platforms and trends, including implementing multigenerational strategies.

  • Excellent writing, editing and oral communications.

  • Experience in managing complex projects in distributed teams.

  • Experience in designing, implementing and managing communications activities.

  • Working knowledge of current communications technologies.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines.

  • CRM database experience, preferred.
