Operations Manager

Empowerment Through Integration (ETI) is a 501(c)3 certified non-profit that is changing the narrative surrounding disability both for blind and sighted youth. We create integrated, supportive spaces with life skills training, emotional support, and community service opportunities. Through these integrated spaces, they are able to break down internal and external barriers surrounding views on ability in order to create positive change in society. Our ultimate goal is to enable society to understand that inclusion of all is a value for all.

ETI is currently seeking an Operations Manager to assist with overseeing internal operations functions, including human resources, benefits administration, recruitment and other organizational functions within ETI. The Operations Manager will work closely with the COO to ensure all technical operations tasks are completed. This individual will need to be organized, goal-oriented, and able to balance different projects within the unit.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance of all documentation in compliance with company, federal, state, and local 501(c)3 requirements

  • Overseeing job postings and candidate screening for volunteer/staff recruitment

  • Lead new employee and volunteer onboarding

  • W2 and 1099 contract oversight

  • Benefits administration

  • Payroll administration

  • Event logistics coordination (In the Dark client events and community Inclusion Circles)

  • Software administration (Salesforce, Dropbox, Outlook, etc.) – with support from IT Manager

  • Assist COO with various tasks as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • The Operations Manager will need to be comfortable working directly with the COO to manage multiple operations task streams, including:

    • recruiting and onboarding

    • 501(c)3 documentation

    • benefits and payroll administration

    • event logistics.

  • This is a part-time position (20 hours/week), which can be performed from ETI’s office in Harvard Square (preferred), or remotely if candidate is the right fit.

  • Interest and prior experience in organizational development and human resources are strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION

Monthly stipend: $1,000 (20 hours/week)
