Maggie is a Boston transplant from Long island, New York. She graduated with a Bachelors of Art in Secondary Education and History from Gordon College. An opportunity to complete her student teaching in Dorchester brought her to the city in 2011 and she hasn't left. Since her classroom experience Maggie has helped organize a small theater camp for kids in Upham's Corner and supported the grassroots community organizing efforts of the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI) as an AmeriCorps volunteer and on their Development team. Most recently Maggie coordinated contextual inquiry research projects with the Institute for Human Centered Design (IHCD) and is now a J.D. Candidate at Suffolk University Law School. Maggie is partially sighted and a guide dog user (pictured with her Fidelco German Shepherd, O’Bella). O’Bella and Maggie love finding good places to play fetch, hiking, and experiencing new places, people, and flavors.
